How to Install Your WalkEsim

Install your WalkEsim before your trip while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. Activate mobile data for the eSIM when you arrive at your destination, unless your product instructions say otherwise.

Before you start

  • Use an unlocked phone, tablet, or laptop that supports eSIM.
  • Keep your WalkEsim email open on another device, or save the QR code before installation.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi and keep your device charged during setup.
  • Do not delete the eSIM after installation. Most eSIM QR codes can only be installed once.

iPhone installation

  1. Open Settings and tap Cellular or Mobile Service.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then choose Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the QR code from your WalkEsim email.
  4. Name the line WalkEsim so it is easy to recognize.
  5. Set your home SIM as the default voice line if you want to keep calls and SMS on your normal number.
  6. When you arrive, turn on the WalkEsim line and enable Data Roaming for that line.

Android installation

  1. Open Settings, then go to Network & Internet, Connections, or SIM Manager.
  2. Select Add eSIM or Add mobile plan.
  3. Scan the QR code from your WalkEsim email, or enter the manual details if your device asks for them.
  4. Label the eSIM as WalkEsim.
  5. When you arrive, turn on the WalkEsim eSIM, select it for mobile data, and enable data roaming for the eSIM.

If the eSIM does not connect

  • Restart your device after installation.
  • Confirm the WalkEsim line is turned on and selected for mobile data.
  • Enable data roaming for the WalkEsim line.
  • Check the product page for APN instructions, or visit APN Settings.
